Be certain to check the pin placement as there is almost two clubs difference from back to front of the green. The prevailing wind is usually against.
PAR: 3 SI: 15
149 134 124
This slightly dogleg left requires a driver that hugs the left side as the fairway slopes away to the right. You are left with a short to mid-iron into a green that slopes from back to front.
PAR: 4 SI: 11
337 326 221
The first of five par 5 holes. Hit the drive on a line between the bunkers on the left and the pond on the right. The green is well bunkered and it is best to try to stay short of the pin on this heavily sloping green.
PAR: 5 SI: 17
400 386 322
The correct line off the tee is vital. The second shot is easier from the right half of the fairway. Once again stay short of the pin with your approach as this green has a very steep slope from back to front.
PAR: 4 SI: 3
336 309 295
Either hit the drive from the tee with a fade off the bunker or a well-struck fairway wood down the tree line will suffice. From the fairway you can reach the par-5 in two. Take caution though as there is an Out of Bounds left.
PAR: 5 SI: 13
413 391 336
Stroke index 1, and this hole is worthy of the honour. Select placement over power from the tee and aim down the right side of the fairway. This should leave you with a long iron uphill approach shot to a narrow target.
PAR: 4 SI: 1
359 347 329
The first of three very good holes to close the front nine. A long iron or fairway wood will be required to reach this long par 3.
PAR: 3 SI: 7
180 174 164
A risk and reward hole. Hit a long but very accurate drive and have a simple pitch to a raised green or hit a safe long iron and have a mid iron to a green which requires very exact placement.
PAR: 4 SI: 9
292 282 272
A long straight drive is required to avoid a bunker and Out of Bounds on the left and trees on the right. Once again a tricky ridge down the middle of the green calls for an accurate shot to the correct level.
PAR: 4 SI: 5
353 340 326
Although there is Out of Bounds down the right hand side this is the side of the fairway to place the drive. Correct club selection is vital to the elevated green.
PAR: 4 SI: 4
345 324 315
Back to back par 3s holes No.11 and 12. The first one is downhill and therefore plays shorter than it measures. A club difference from front to back to a generous target.
PAR: 3 SI: 14
111 105 95
Similar in length to Hole 11, watch out for the pot bunker short as it cuts well into your target.
PAR: 3 SI: 18
119 99 86
A good long straight drive over the marker post is called for to enable a second over the trees on the right to be attempted. Either that or place the second at the bottom of the slope up to the green and play the hole as a par 5. Check which leve
PAR: 5 SI: 10
366 353 340
Placement is the key once more. A long iron down the right will be rewarded with a short pitch to another elevated target. The green is long, so check the pin placement before you play your 2nd shot.
PAR: 4 SI: 16
235 221 212
A good long drive aimed between the monument on top of the hill and the right hand side of the fairway. The green has a large tier and therefore the second shot must be exact for length.
PAR: 4 SI: 8
337 324 310
Once the longest hole in Europe and still a real test. Place the drive to the right of the fairway avoiding the pond on the left. The rest of the hole tends to run to the left as does the green. Therefore the line is always to the right.
PAR: 5 SI: 2
570 555 489
A small target which is slightly raised and guarded by bunkers and nasty slopes.
PAR: 3 SI: 12
147 125 104
A drive down the right hand side will put you in a position to find the center of the fairway around this long dog leg. This will open up the green, which is guarded by one bunker on the left hand side.
PAR: 5 SI: 6
