We are dedicated to our mission statement; to develop your golf game to the highest level as quickly as possible, whether you are a complete beginner, experienced golfer or Professional.

YOUR GOLF LESSON – A PHILOSOPHY

Keeping your lesson simple, understandable and memorable is key to your successful development. We do this by using the folowing principles:

Simple - Our technology allows us to record your technique with special emphasis on how balanced your movement is throughout your swing. We would then discuss what needs to be improved and why this will help develop more consistency, distance and control.

Understandable - We use a lot of visual images so you can see what what you are doing and how much you have improved. The information is delivered in a logical and patient manner so there is no confusion on the way forward.

Memorable - It is vital that you remember the content of the lesson. That is why we have invested in the V1 Coaching Academy software because it allows us to email you a video summary of the lesson. This can also be sent to your phone, so the next time you go to work on your game, your lesson with Pestana Golf Integrated Academy, will be at your fingertips.

When all of the above has been achieved, it is then possible to progress your game.

THE ACADEMY ENVIRONMENT

The Academy has been purpose built with our clients in mind, to ensure a tranquil, first class developmental environment. Contained within the Academy building is a bespoke coaching studio equipped with; V1 Online Golf Academy, X2 Wireless FlightScope, SAM PuttLab, SAM BalanceLab and PlaneSwing.

The Academy facilities include:

• A 300m long double ended driving range 
• A dedicated putting, chipping, pitching and bunker work area
• Covered mat hitting area as well as extensive grass hitting area

The Golf Integrated team is led by Neil Connolly. Neil has played golf off scratch or better for 25 years, and competed successfully at the highest levels, both as an Amateur and as a Tournament Professional. He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, being inducted into their Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. Below is a synopsis of Neil’s playing career:

1983 England Under 15 Champion

1993 All American University of Tennessee

1998 Won Midland PGA Order of Merit

1999 Played in Volvo PGA Championship

2010 Became England Golf Regional Manager

2012 Inducted into University Of Tennessee’s Athletic Hall Of Fame

2013 Became a Member of PGA Portugal

2014 Qualified through Order of Merit positioning for European Tour Madeira Open

THE TECHNOLOGY

Long Game: Swing analysis using V1 video technology

At Pestana Golf Integrated Academy every lesson will have a V1 recording and account set up for the player, so you will be able to see the immediate improvement. The account gives the player to review the videos taken whenever needed. The opportunity of year long, continual remote development is also available to our Clients.

Balance and Power: SAM BalanceLab

The golf swing starts from the ground up. It is critical that your connection with the ground is solid and your movement is balanced. By achieving a balanced golf swing, each player will very quickly increase their power base and see the ball go further and straighter.

We have, at Pestana Golf Integrated Academy, the perfect equipment to measure a player’s weight distribution and movement at any stage of the golf swing. SAM BalanceLab, used by Tournament Professionals around the world, is an ultra-high-resolution force plate which has over 2500 sensors to track your weight shift and balance throughout your swing.

Using this technology, you and our team will understand exactly what is happening during your golf swing and you will be quickly on the way to hitting the ball further and straighter.

Long Game: FlightScope X2

Within 10 shots, using the FlightScope Doppler radar technology, we will have all the critical data to determine your average in the following areas:

• Carry distance
• Club head speed
• Efficiency of strike
• Ball speed
• Ball spin
• Launch angle
• Hang time
• Whether your clubs suit you, maybe it is time for a change?

All of this valuable information is recorded to reference improvement whilst being used to recommend correct equipment.

Short Game: SAM PuttLab

Our system gives you individual feedback on your putting strokes. The analysis reveals even the smallest details of your movements and allows us to develop improvements and training strategies.

Within minutes we will have 28 of the most important elements of your putting stroke analysed, and after a few minutes more we will have you accurately working on the most important area of the game.

PlaneSwing

PlaneSWING® is the True Swing Plane Trainer, designed to give you an instant feel for the perfect golf swing and to ingrain a repetitive motion. Plus, PlaneSWING® will give you a better understanding of the golf swing and teach you how to apply a quick-fix when needed during a round!
